WORLD WINES - Advanced course  3-24 November 2009  Tuesdays

$220 per person

This four week course is designed for people with a sound knowledge of wine basics, and builds upon this knowledge by;
· Addressing more advanced approaches to sensory evaluation,
· Examining Australia’s renowned wine styles,
· Introducing international wines — both European and ‘New World’,
· Building upon oenological and viticultural knowledge and their respective effect upon wine styles, and
· Considering a range of emerging varietals in Australia as well as exploring the major premium varieties.

Each four hour session involves a tutored tasting of 10 different wines, typically  Australian-produced wines and several international examples. While it is crucial to demonstrate quality examples of Australian wines, it has been considered beneficial for an advanced wine palate to taste and discuss classic and/or well regarded international wine styles, such as; Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Burgundy, Sangiovese from Chianti, or Sauvignon Blanc from both Marlborough and Sancerre from France.

The National Wine Centre is located at the corner of Botanic Road and Hackney  Road. The session will start at  7.00 pm and will conclude at 9.00 pm. We look forward to seeing you.

Cancellation policy : Written notice of cancellations must be recieved no later than 14 days prior to course starting dates for a refund. If notification is less than 14 days, only an alternative course will be offered. The purchase is tranferable and another person can attend in your place if you are unable to attend.

Payment Method: Payment can be made by credit card (Visa or MasterCard only). A confirmation of your registration (tax invoice) will be issued on receipt of your payment.
