The Environmental Compliance Guidelines for the Wine Industry in South Australia (“the Guidelines”) were developed to provide guidance for grapegrowers and winemakers in relation to South Australian legislation, regulations and policies about environmental matters.
The Guidelines are a tool to ensure that your business avoids fines and penalties by complying with environmental legislation relevant to the wine industry.
The 62 page Guidelines are an informative and easy to use CD-Rom with hyperlinked references that directly connect you to relevant legislation, policies, documents, agencies, guidelines, codes and forms.
Each subject contains information about “What must be done” to meet the relevant legislation, practical advice on “Suggested best practice”, and “References” to relevant documents.
The Appendices provide the contact details and references to legislation, agencies, ministers, policies, codes and guidelines relevant to the wine industry in South Australia.
The Guidelines have been developed with all reasonable care and with the assistance of Finlaysons Lawyers. It should be recognised however, that in some specific cases of environmental issues, precise legal and/or technical opinion may be required to determine the suitability of particular measures for compliance.
The Guidelines will be updated regularly (on an annual basis or as required). We urge you to support this initiative of the South Australian Wine Industry Association.
