This is the bare minimum the employees of recruiters should do if they are doing client OHS assessments!

The need for industry training
In light of recent prosecutions, the need for on-hired employee service providers to undertake safety assessments of host organisation workplaces and systems has become essential to minimise exposure to liability. This one day course, including an on-site client assessment simulation, is designed specifically for representatives of recruitment and on-hire firms who assess client safety systems and places of work.

Why is this course different?
A key feature of this course is that it includes an on-site visit where skills are put to the test, which is why it has been so well received.

Course Content
One-day courses were developed for the blue and white collar industry. The course content included:

  • Review of theoretical safety risk management principles;
  • Understanding of statutory obligations and responsibilities;
  • Identification of major safety issues and how to overcome them;
  • Provision of sample safety tools and checklists;
  • Application of safety risk management tools in a workplace – via a practical site visit;
  • Understanding how to communicate and relate to personnel regarding health and safety issues – via a practical site visit.

Who should attend?
The course is specifically targeted for recruitment consultants and/or other staff whose responsibilities involve undertaking host organisation / client safety assessments and inspections. Group sizes are kept to a minimum to enable on site visits and personal coaching.
