‘Understanding and developing your own style as a leader’

In busy fast growth companies, it is hard to develop middle managers and support rising stars within the business. This often leads to high levels of stress as emerging leaders struggle to find their way while maintaining their work load. It can lead to companies losing their best people.

The ‘Leadership in Action’ course offers a short but intensive workshop designed to provide some essential leadership knowledge, and to allow participants to explore their own approach to leadership.

Participants will build new networks and tap into an existing network of past Leadership in Action attendees.

Objectives 

• Understand what leaders do
• Increase your confidence and effectiveness as a leader
• Learn to communicate more effectively with others
• Set goals for future growth
• Understand your strengths and how to leverage them as a leader
• Understand your weaknesses and how to work around them

who should attend? 

• Middle managers/project managers wanting to increase their confidence and effectiveness
• Owners of small and early stage companies, who are beginning their journey as a leader and manager
• Emerging leaders identified with the potential to be rising stars

Program 

This is an intensive two day workshop that runs from early Thursday morning to Friday afternoon. Participants are required to stay overnight at Glenbarr Estate, Strathalbyn on the Thursday evening.

Designed specifically to meet the needs of fast growth and entrepreneurial companies, the program incorporates both indoor and outdoor activities, as well as group and individual work.

Cost 

This workshop is funded as part of the Growing Global Companies Program. There is a fee of $500 per participant to cover accommodation, food and drinks.
